Obituary for Georgia Jackson
Georgia Jackson, age 93, of Eddyville, Illinois passed away on November 1, 2015 at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL.
She was born February 23, 1922 to Claude S and Dorcie (Jacobs) Barger in Eddyville, Illinois. Georgia married James Ewing Jackson on August 17, 1941.  He preceded her in death on May 18, 2012. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Eddyville #1007. She belonged to Eddyville Homemakers Extension. Georgia was a lifelong quilter and enjoyed piecing, and quilting quilts. She was an excellent cook and loved to spend time with her family.
Georgia is survived by her son, Edward Jackson of Eddyville; five grandchildren, John and Janice Wallace, Jennifer and Larry Caldwell, Jarod and Brooke Jackson, Megan and Kyle Orso, Jessica and Tommy Gottschalk; nine great grandchildren, Brady, Bailie, Alaina, Alec, Claire, Josie, Phillip, Chloe, Kenzie; sister, Linda Killingsworth.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, daughter, Sandra Wallace; granddaughter, Jacklyn; five sisters, Claudetta Barger, Lorene Murrie, Lillian Geisler, Mary Catherine Aly, Frances Cappelletti; and two brothers, Wade Barger, Gaylon L. Barger.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until noon on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. Order of Eastern Star service will begin at noon with funeral service to follow. Interment will follow at the Old Home Cemetery near Eddyville.  Visit to sign guest book or leave an online condolence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Old Home Cemetery Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
