Obituary for Prentiss L. Crim
Prentiss L. Crim, age 72 of Harrisburg, IL passed away on December 30, 2021, in Evansville, Indiana.
Prentiss was born June 25, 1949, in Brownfield Illinois. He was the son of James E. Crim, Sr. and Opal J. (McCorkle) Crim.
Prentiss was united in marriage to Mona Duncan on December 1, 1972. He was a member of The Roads Church in Norris City. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, heavy equipment operating and truck driving. He enjoyed his nieces and nephews and children of all ages. He loved his church and family. He had worked in the coal mines and was a retired guard from IYC. After retirement he worked for Rides Mass Transit and a trucking company.
Prentiss is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mona Crim; six children, Bryan (Melony) Crim, Darryl Crim, Keysha (Michael) Thomas, Sashia Crim, Kasheena (James) Brown, Jor’Dan Crim; nine grandchildren, Quinyon Thomas, Qais Thomas, Nolan Crim, Jonah Crim, Mar’K Mills, Raheem Gilbert, Zyon Turner, Ryder Brown, Rebecca Brown; three brothers, Robert (Sarah) Crim, Ricky (Paula) Crim, Rodney (Debra) Crim; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Lonnie Ray Crim, Jessie Ray Crim, Larry Crim, James Crim Jr., Hazel Jones, and Patricia (Tish) Crim.
A Home Going Service will be held on Friday January 7th 2022 at 11:00 am., at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville Il.. Pastor Chad Everett will conduct the service. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery near Brownfield. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
