Obituary for Ruby Mae Hogg
Ruby Mae Bebout Hogg, age 87, of Golconda passed away March 4, 2013 at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare. Ruby was born May 1, 1925 to Burel and Cora (Hicks) Bebout in Pope County, Illinois. She married Jesse Lloyd Hogg on September 10, 1946, and he preceded her in death. She worked as a cook at the nursing home in Rosiclare and was greatly appreciated for her cooking, especially her chicken and dumplings. She was of the Christian faith. She was a wonderful mother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed riding horses, sewing and quilting, and her passion was camping. Ruby is survived by four children, Lloyd (Peggy) Hogg, Beatrice (Doug) Yates, Bertha (Bob) Towns, Burtis Hogg (special friend, Linda Hall); eight grandchildren, Amanda Hogg fiancée Todd Jackson, Toby (Dianna) Marcum, Rodney Marcum, Michael Marcum, Bobby Hancock, Jessica Arnold, Lesli (Travis) Kluge, Melissa (Dewayne) Fulkerson, Frank Towns, Joshua (Cindy) Hogg, Christina (Rob) Felippe; twenty three great grandchildren; one brother, Ray “Bud” Bebout; two sisters, Dora Bayne, Vernie Kluge. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by three brothers, Luster Bebout, Charles “Tuck” Bebout, Lincoln “Link” Bebout; four sisters, Marie Howard, Della Elam, Stella Fisher, Mary Bebout. Funeral service will be 11am March 7, 2013 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. Burial will follow at Hogg Cemetery near Herod. Visitation will be from 5-9pm on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
