Obituary for Richard Bouman
Rick Bouman, age 60, of rural Golconda, passed away on September 26, 2013 at home. He was born November 16, 1952 to Donald and Dorothy Bouman in Zeeland, Michigan. Rick is survived by his wife, Patricia Bouman; three beautiful daughters, Ashley, Alisha, and Alexia; grandson, Caleb; two brothers, Allen Bouman, Dave Bouman; two sisters, Joan (Joe) Winters, Mary (Larry) Maldenado. Rick was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Bouman; parents; sister, Barb. He was an active member and elder of New Liberty Church, Eddyville.  Rick was a member of VFW Post 9227, American Legion Post 719, and Golconda Masonic Lodge 131 A.F. & A.M. He loved being a deputy and serving his community. He was a deputy in Jasper County prior to working as a deputy for Pope County. He was a U.S. ARMY Vietnam Veteran. Rick was a devote Christian, loved Jesus, and spending time with his family and his K-9, Brit. He had a great love for rabbit hunting, playing and building guitars, riding motorcycles, fishing, and horse racing. Memorial service will be held 2pm on Sunday September 29, 2013 at New Liberty Church near Eddyville. Burial of cremains will follow the service with military honors at New Liberty Cemetery Eddyville.
