Obituary for Marilyn Joyce Wallace
Marilyn Joyce Wallace, age 69, of Harrisburg, IL passed away June 1, 2022 at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL.
Marilyn was born October 5, 1952 to the late Edward “Bud” and Betty Lou (Palmer) Owens in Eddyville, IL. She was a CNA by trait. She enjoyed working with and caring for the elderly. She also enjoyed family time and came to Eddyville as much as she could to visit. Marilyn was a jokester and had the nurses laughing until the end. She was also bull-headed and didn’t hesitate to set them straight if she didn’t want to do something. If she didn’t want to do something she would tell the nurses that she would pull out a “Bud Owens” on them or threaten them that her baby sister Becky would straighten them out.
Marilyn was a fun-loving person and very strong willed. She gave it her all. She was tired and ready to go home.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Michele (Donnie) Wiltermood; grandsons, Joshua and Tyler Wiltermood; granddaughter, Tiffany Wiltermood; great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kyilee and Colton. They all reside in Klamath Falls, OR. Sisters, Becky Stafford of Eddyville, IL, Sharon (Jerry) Miller of Simpson, IL; brother, Russel Owens of Eddyville, IL; nieces, Amity (Krist) Thodoropoulos, Jessi (Mike) Hall, Heather (Todd) Goodson, Kalika (Bobby) Pitcher, Teresa Owens; nephew, Zeb (Erica) Miller; several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Owens.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Eddyville Cemetery in Eddyville, IL.
