Obituary for Lonnie L. Barger
Lonnie L. Barger, age 81, of Delwood, IL passed away peacefully at home with his children and grandchildren at his side on January 15, 2017. He was born to Claude and Reba (Davenport) Barger on December 20, 1935 on the family farm; the same farm he passed away on. He started raising cattle with his father and continued on after his father died. He was a retired Coal miner from Wabash mine in Mt. Carmel. Lonnie was the owner and operator of Little Lusk Campground. He enjoyed visiting with campers and friends and spending time with family especially his children and grandchildren. He is survived by five children, Larry and Carla Barger of Eddyville, IL; Elaine and Billy Clark of Paducah, KY; Terry and Becky Barger of Eddyville, IL; Lavon Fox of Eddyville, IL; Eric and Carla Barger of Eddyville, IL; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; brother, Loy Barger. In addition to his parents Lonnie is preceded by seven siblings, Lorene Ewell, Glen Barger, Wendell Barger, J.C. Barger, Clifford Barger, Ilene Barger, and Alene Barger. Graveside service will be 11:00 am on January 17, 2017 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois. Pastor Mandy Curry will conduct the service. Visit alyfh.com to leave an online condolence.
