Obituary for Leslie Hardin
Leslie Hardin, age 69 of Herod, IL passed away on November 24, 2020 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.
He was born on August 17, 1951 in Paducah, Ky to William Lewis and Ella Mae (Day) Hardin. He married Frances Healy on April 22, 1972; she survives. He was a 49-year member of Laborers' Union Local 773 and was on the Retiree Council. Leslie was also on the Southeastern Regional Planning Commission, and the Workforce Investment Board. He was a Pope County Democrat Precinct Committeeman for 42 years, and currently the Pope County Democrat Chairman.
Leslie is survived by his wife of 48 yrs, Frances Hardin of Herod; daughter, Samantha (Tom) Love of Harrisburg; son, Robert Hardin of Makanda; two granddaughters, Alex Love and Mady Love of Harrisburg; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Hardin of Geneva, and Rita Hardin of Carrier Mills; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Lewis Hardin Jr., Roger Gerald Hardin, Joe Hardin, Ronald Hardin, and one nephew Paul Hardin.
A graveside service honoring the life of Leslie will be 2:00 PM on Saturday November 28, 2020 at Gossage Cemetery in the Oak Community of Pope County, IL. Bro. Roy Baker will conduct the service. Interment will follow the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the cemetery on Saturday. Visit alyfh.com to leave an online condolence.
