Obituary for Kenneth D Evitts

Kenneth D. Evitts, age 73, of the Glendale Community, passed away November 12, 2012 at home.

Kenneth was born December 25, 1938 in Pope County to Whitnel and Jessie (Milliken) Evitts. He married Mary Alice Duncum on September 29, 1962. Kenneth was a member of Cedar Grove Social Brethren Church. He enjoyed his family and farming.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Alice Evitts; three children, Sharon Evitts of Glendale, Arthur and wife Barbara Evitts of Wauconda, IL, Susan and husband Stephen Wickman of Florida; two brothers, Howard Evitts of Pope County, Glen and wife Barbara Evitts of Paducah; four sisters, Frances and Norris Schuchardt of Glendale, IL , Ann Broadway of Nashville, IL, Darlene and Mike Richards of Centralia, IL, Barbara and Bill Bender of Houston, TX; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Bates of Vienna, IL, Donna Evitts of Branson, MO; three grandchildren, Kristin, Daniel, Haylie; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his step-mother, Edna Mae (Hertter) Evitts; daughter, Ellen Marie; two brothers, Michael and George Evitts; sister, Mildred Bailey; two brothers-in-law, Rev. John Bailey, Stanley Broadway.

 Memorials may be made to: Cedar Grove Cemetery or M.A.S.H. 62938 envelopes will be available at the funeral home

    Funeral service will be 11 am on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Cedar Grove Social Brethren Church in Simpson, IL.

Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL.
