Obituary for Johnny Fisher

John (Johnny) Burl Fisher, age 79, of the War Bluff Community passed away, 9:00 am on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Rosiclare, IL.

He was born February 22, 1943, at the Old Wolcott Place in Pope Co., IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond Fisher, and Stella Bebout Fisher; brother, Vernen Fisher; sisters, Mary Fisher Marler, Lavana Fisher, Virginia “Ginney” Fisher Rozen and Stella Colleen Fisher Miller.

Johnny is survived by two brothers, Larry Fisher, Chet Fisher (Laura); three sisters, Opal Fisher Emmons, Edna Fisher Henson (Carl), Shirley Fisher Gibbs (Joe); three daughters, Darleen Renee Fisher, Veronica Rochelle Fisher McKenzie (Paul), Tammy Sue Fisher Clark; seven grandchildren, Delaina “Dana” Rochelle Bowman, Dawn Renee Bowman Richetts (Luke), Austin Lee Gibbs, Coty Michael Fisher (Marissa), Cory Nicholas Foreman McKenzie (Tawnee), Kayla Rae Sutherland, Kaisie Erin Clark; thirteen great grandchildren, Jordon Kokrine, Maya Kokrine, Ella Smith, Emri Smith, Isaac Smith, Brianna Smith, Avery Ricketts, Aaliyah Ricketts, Grace Ricketts, Joseph Ricketts, Cameron Sutherland, Charles “Charly” Sutherland, and Casey James “CJ” Fisher; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Johnny enjoyed his dogs, coon hunting, riding horses, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Johnny is being cremate and his family will spread his ashes at the top of War Bluff and have a celebration of life at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: No kill animal shelter or Lung Cancer treatment center in Johnny’s name.
