Obituary for James "Pud" Randolph
James “Pud” Randolph, 87 of Golconda, IL passed away on April 21, 2021 at Southgate Health Care Center in Metropolis, IL. Pud was born August 16, 1933 to Elmer and Ethel (Rigor) Randolph in Pope County, IL. He ran Poncho’s Body Shop in Metropolis, IL for several years before moving to Golconda, IL. He was an avid Volkswagen enthusiast and horse-back rider. In 1966, he was one of the original founders and helped cut most of the trails for the Nine Day Trail Ride. Pud is survived by his wife, Margaret. His two sons Nick (Cathy) Randolph and Tony Randolph; Stepchildren, Helen (Beecher) Williams, Frank (Ellen) Conci, Jan Conci and Carmen Conci, one sister Wanda Crabb, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ethel Randolph, 1 sister Novita Larson and 2 brothers, William Randolph, Robert Randolph and daughter-in-law Kim Randolph.
