Obituary for Everett Eugene Turner
Everett Eugene Turner, age 71, of Elizabethtown, IL passed away August 14, 2015 at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare, IL. He was born June 28, 1944 to James Everett and Loretta (Yarber) Turner in Elizabethtown, IL. Everett married Catherine Green on March 15, 1963. He was a retired spar miner at Ozark Mahoning. He was a member of Community Chapel Church. In church he was a faithful minister and as an elder he encouraged church members. He will be greatly missed by his church family. He loved his family time especially taking grandchildren for four-wheeler rides. Everett enjoyed hunting, digging ginseng, gardening, and when he was younger fishing and playing baseball. Everett is survived by wife, Catherine Turner of Elizabethtown, IL; three sons, Larry Turner of Ridgeway, IL, Robert (Cindy) Turner of Golconda, IL, Bradley (Terri) Turner of Paducah, Ky; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Helen Cubley of Rosiclare, Thelma (Charlie) Cruson of Golconda; brother, George (Radonnna) Turner of Rosiclare, IL; several nieces and nephews. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one nephew. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Community Chapel Church in rural Golconda, IL. Pastor Robert Turner will conduct the service. Interment will follow at the Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown, IL. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm on Sunday August 16, 2015 and from 11 am until time of service on Monday at Community Chapel Church in rural Golconda, IL.
